About Us
American Care is a multi-specialty physician group providing services throughout the State of Florida. Part of our services is to coordinate the patient's prescriptions to make sure they are taking the correct medications. Our goal is to prevent primary care physicians and specialists from having overlapping treatments, which often the patients may not be able to discern.
Faxing a Prescription
If you are a specialist that we have referred our patient to, please fax the patient's prescription to:
As the patient's primary care provider, we will coordinate the patient's prescriptions and its dispensing.
Faxing a Controlled Substance Prescription
For patients requiring a controlled substance, provide the patient the original prescription and fax us a copy to keep in the patient's medical record. The patient needs to take the prescription to a local pharmacy and arrange for the dispensing of the medication.
Make sure you have verified E-FORCSE and complied with the State of Florida's controlled substances prescribing requirement when prescribing a controlled substance to our patients. Our goal at American Care is to reduce opiate and other controlled substances abuse.
